MY Upcoming Book - A Work In Progress
Above is a quote from the book I am writing. I’m excited, nervous and somewhat awed and amazed to share this with you! The scope will cover the connection between true kinship with animals, grief, and animal family members’ death and dying.
Currently, I’m brainstorming, researching, organizing and listening to personal experiences about grieving animal family members…..and the early stages of actually writing the first draft. Not only will there be stories and conversations on unwinding from dominant cultural expectations, there are places for the readers to reflect and journal.
At least that’s the plan at this moment in time. I am quickly recognizing this book is taking on a life of its own and what I think should be covered and what the book thinks needs to be covered can be two very different concepts!

I am researching generational aspects of grieving animal family members. What is your experience as The Silent Gen, Boomer, Gen X, Millennial, Gen Z? Are animals grieved as ‘just an animal’ or as beloved family members?
