"The animals of the world exist for their own reasons. They were not made for humans any more than black people were made for white, or women created for men." ― Alice Walker

Contribute To the Office Furniture Fund

The image above is currently my office space. It is not feasible, particularly when I’m working on the book. I am setting aside funds to purchase a desk/bookcase combo, an ergonomic office chair and an area rug to go beneath the furniture. The estimated cost for the purchase, putting them together and organizing the space is about $500 - $600. If you’d like to make a contribution, here are the ways to do so.

Acknowledgement

I respectfully acknowledge the teachings and wisdom behind true kinship with animals is from Indigenous people whose lives, teachings and lifestyles were annihilated by the colonizers only to later be appropriated into colonized culture.

I am not amplifying those Indigenous voices and teachings but using colonized language to express what was appropriated from them and my colonized understanding of that.

I acknowledge the descendants of the original peoples, witnessing their history and stories. I respect their connection to the animals and to the earth.
